Riegger, Paulus Josephus:

Viennae, 1762. Trattner. (10)p.
The author was a humanist historian of Polish origin and served as the court historian for Ferdinand I. His work, or at least a portion of it, detailing the military events of the early years of the king's reign, was first published in print at that time.
The value of our copy is enhanced by the fact that, according to the handwriting on the frontispiece, the author of the theses gifted it to István Dániel of Vargyasi: “Ex donatione Illustrious Lord Editor Wolfgang Chimney possess ham my book Stephanus de Daniel et Vargyas” With the owner's signature underneath.
Contemporary half leather. Spine richly gilt and damaged.
Prov.: From the library of József Horváth.
