Around the middle of the 20th century, an unknown commercial artist worked in Linz, creating a series of designs for advertisements in Linz shops using various techniques. They sometimes adopted pre-existing elements. This example advertises the plumbing company Karl Gräfner, Graben 25. The Linz-based company, founded in 1881, was acquired by W. Schwarz no later than 1949. W. Schwarz Ges. m. b. H. is now headquartered at Hasnerstraße 62, 1160 Vienna.
