Nürnberg, 1735. Christoph Weigels Seel. Wittib. 1pl(s).+(38)+448+(16)p.+125pl(s).
Schrenk von Notzing's work was first published in 1601. The book is a detailed catalogue of Archduke Ferdinand's outstanding weaponry, illustrated with 125 plates. The picturesque engravings, made by Domenicos Custos, depict renowned figures from the 16-17th centuries: kings, ministers, aristocrats, and other notables. This smaller edition was revived by Johan David Köhler.
Richly gilt leather spine without covers (the painted endpapers mounted on hardpaper boards).
