Robert Schöller (also: Schoeller) is an Austrian-American artist. At the age of 15, he began studying at the Linz City Art School. In 1969, he moved to the Art Academy in Vienna, where he attended the master class. He dropped out after one year and spent the next four years living in Mexico City, Los Angeles and New York, where he opened a studio. In 1974, Schöller moved to Salzburg for two years, and two years later to Vienna, where he lived and worked for four years. As his reputation grew, Schöller received orders from all over Europe. He also designed several posters for the Vienna Danube Island Festival. In 1986, Schöller was commissioned by the White House to paint the official portrait of George Washington to mark the 200th anniversary of the signing of the American Constitution. After this assignment, Schöller moved to Clearwater, Florida in 1989. Schöller is the author of numerous portraits of Austrian celebrities, including Bruno Kreisky, Fred Sinowatz, Helmut Zilk, Michael Häupl, Niki Lauda, Alois Brusatti and Karel Schwarzenberg. The buyer's premium amounts to 28% in case of differential taxation. The sales tax is included in the differential taxation.
