Oswin Amann was an Austrian artist hailing from Vorarlberg. In 1949, he began his studies at the Academy of Fine Arts Vienna with Albert Paris Gütersloh and Herbert Boeckl. In 1955, he completed his master's degree and won the academy's master school prize. From then on, he lived in Vienna and in Hausbrunn in the Weinviertel. These landscapes can be found in many of his works. Basically, Amann remained attached to representation and worked predominantly in oil. Study trips took him to Spain, Portugal, Italy, France, Hungary, Yugoslavia, Czechoslovakia, Poland, Romania and Russia. Solo exhibitions: Konzerthaus Vienna, Galerie Nagl Vienna, Galerie Maier Innsbruck, Kulturkreis Hohenems, Galerie Haemmerle Götzis and Stiftsgalerie Kremsmünster. Participation in thematic exhibitions at the Galerie Würthle Wien and Haemmerle Götzis.
