The Jena-born author's catechism for Lutheran children was first published in Torgau in 1594. We have no information about its earlier appearance in Hungary, it was also published in Brassó in the same year. Our piece is the only known complete copy, while a fragment is kept in Lőcse. Only one copy exists in Hungarian public collections (MTA).
Restored contemporary leather.
