Tizedik kiadás. Néhány fekete-fehér, szövegközti ábrával illusztrált, a kötet végén kiadói könyvlistával kiegészített, angol nyelvű kiadvány. Az előlapon tollal beírt számjelzés és tollal beírt, régi tulajdonosi bejegyzés látható.
Kiadói egészvászon kötésben lévő példány dombornyomott keretezésű, aranyozott feliratos címfedéllel, aranyozott feliratos könyvgerinccel, dombornyomott keretezésű hátlappal, tiszta belívekkel, hiánytalan állapotban. Az első előzéklap nedvességtől foltos.
A kötet szerzője William Thomson (1814–1895) angol kertész, a viktoriánus Anglia egyik legismertebb ampelológusa. Nevéhez fűződik az első skóciai szőlőültetvény létrehozása, amihez – a mostoha éghajlat jelentette nehézségek leküzdésére – üvegházakat is használt.
