Első angliai kiadás.
A „Grapes of Wrath” John Steinbeck (1902–1968) amerikai író legismertebb regénye 1939-ben jelent meg. Egy évvel később magyarul is megjelent a Singer és Wolfnernél, Benedek Marcell fordításában, mely már 1945 előtt is számos újrakiadást ért meg. A Nobel-díjas amerikai író 1963-ban kulturális csereprogram keretében európai körútra indult – Budapesten 1963. december 3–5-ig tartózkodott. Könyveit az olvasók számára az Európa Könyvkiadó Lenin körúti könyvesboltjában dedikálta.
Kiadói, aranyozott gerincű kék vászonkötésben, gerincének felső élén apró hasadás.
