Pest, 1856. Engel & Mandello. [2]+355 p., [2]+405+[4] p., [2]+392+[7] p., [2]+489+[5] p., [2]+430 p., [2]+479+[11] p. Litografált sokszorosításban kiadott, kéziratos orvostudományi értekezés. Második kiadás.
Sauer Ignác (1801-1863) belgyógyász, egyetemi tanár, a pesti egyetem kétszeri dékánja majd rektora az MTA levelező tagja, az ország főorvosa (1848–49 és 1861), a kopogtatás és hallgatózás magyarországi meghonosítója, a magyar orvostudomány és közegészségügy egyik kimagasló jelentőségű alakja. A Vasárnapi Újság 1863. november 22-i számában az elhunytat mint "a magyar orvosi kar legtekintélyesebb tagját, az emberiség valódi jótevőjét, s számtalan ember élete megmentőjét" búcsúztatja.
Korabeli (kiadói?), aranyozott gerincű vászonkötésben. Egy-egy kötetének hátsó tábláján enyhe ázásnyom. Összességében nagyon szép, rendkívül ritka orvostörténeti mű.
