The Almanach Society – founded by János Erdélyi, Péter Vajda and Imre Vahot – aimed to boost Hungarian literature and introduce young writers to the reading public. The authors of the issues edited by Vajda were János Garay, Miklós Jósika, Lajos Kuthy and Gusztáv Lauka among others. A third volume was planned with Erdélyi as editor, but it was not published.
