A kor egyik legnépszerűbb regénye lett, sikerében a „detektív” történet mellett bizonyára
szerepe volt a különös fővárosi életképek bemutatásának is.
Kiadói, dúsan aranyozott egészvászon-díszkötésben. Szép példány, ritka bordó kötésváltozat.
