Scarce, first state 2-sheet map of Bohemia by Bolognino Zaltieri. Based on Nicolaus Claudianus' (Mikuláš Klaudyán) regional map (1518), which exists in only one known copy in Litoměřice. Our item is topographically similar and the nomenclature is the same, but the typography differs from the original. It is one of the rarest of all maps of Bohemia as it has been only once on auction in the past 40 years. On the right side of the sheet about 4 cm wide brown discolouration with some stains and tears. Cropped (even the ornamental frame slightly affected). On the lower and the right side reinforced by (paper) lining. Dimensions: 475 x 640 (cca 490 x 670) mm.
