A rézmetszetű és fametszetű könyvillusztráció négyszáz éves története. Oldalszámozáson belül 263 illusztrációval, melyből 49 egészoldalas. A kötéstáblán található címfelirat egy korábbi kiadás képszámára (mit 259 Abbildungen) utal, a klisét az új kiadásnál nem javították. Poss.: Ex libris R[ezső] Soó.
Kiadói, aranyozott egészvászon-kötésben, kissé megkopott példány, a belbecs kifogástalan.
