A szerző aláírt ajándékozó soraival és az ajándékozott hosszú bejegyzésével! Korbay Ferenc (1846-1913) ének- és zongoraművész, zeneszerző, zenetanár. 1870-ig a Nemzeti Színház énekese, majd Liszt Ferenc tanácsára koncertzongorista lett. Amerikában futott be, ahol nagyhírű zeneiskolát alapított, majd 1895-ben a Londoni Királyi Zeneakadémia tanári állását foglalta el. Magyarságát végig megőrizte, a magyar zene megismertetéséért sokat tett. Kiterjedt levelezést folytatott többek között Munkácsyval és Liszttel is. A tételhez tartozik a Londonból feladott könyv csomagcédulája, a Neue Freie Presse bécsi újság 1913. március 11-i számának egy lapja, melyben Korbay halálhírét közlik, 1 db kotta "Magyar Ábránd. Erkel Gyula barátjának, ajánlja a szerző Korbay Ferencz." Nyomt. Engel és Mandellonál Pesten 4 lev.
