Kōno Bairei (幸野 楳嶺,1844 – 1895): Kōno Bairei japán festő, könyv illusztrátor, rajztanár. Yasuda Bairei néven született és Kiotóban élt. Tagja volt az Ukiyo-e iskolának, és mestere volt a kacho-e festészetnek (madarak és virágok ábrázolása) a japán Meiji korszakban. 1852-ben a Maruyama-iskolába, Nakajima Raisho-hoz (1796–1871) járt tanulni. Raisho halála után Bairei Shiokawa Bunrin (1808–1877) shijo-iskolamesternél tanult.
1880-ban művészeti iskolát nyitott, tanítványai közé tartozott Takeuchi Seihō, Kawai Gyokudō és Uemura Sóen.
Munkái között virágnyomatok, madárnyomatok és tájképek szerepeltek, egy kis nyugati realizmussal. Bairei Száz madár albuma 1881-ben jelent meg.
