Julius Victor Carus (1823. július 25. - 1903. március 10.) német zoológus , darvinista összehasonlító anatómus. 1849 és 1851 között az Oxfordi Egyetem Összehasonlító Anatómiai Múzeumának kurátora , 1853-ban az összehasonlító anatómia professzora és a Lipcsei Egyetem Állattani Múzeumának igazgatója volt.
