Gergely Imre (1868 - 1957): "A Mintarajziskolában, majd a bécsi Képzőművészeti Akadémián tanult. Innen Münchenbe utazott, ahol előbb Hollósy, majd egy év után a Képzőművészeti Akadémián Liezen-Mayer volt a mestere. 1911-ben a Nemzeti Szalonban Törley-díjat nyert. Bejárta a Földközi-tenger partvidékeit. 1892-től kezdve gyakran szerepelt a Műcsarnok tárlatain. Több alkotása a Magyar Nemzeti Galériában található."
