Rare, 1525 issue of Lorenz Fries’ publication of Martin Waldseemüller’s 1513 woodcut map of Italy and Corsica. Our copy is the second of the two Strasbourg issues of Fries’ „Ptolemaeus: Geographicae enarrationis libri octo”. Latin text surrounded by delicate xylograph borders on the back.
With slight – glue-caused – discolouration in the middle.
Dimensions: 330 x 485 mm.
