Alfred Percy Sinnett (1840-1921) brit író, okkultista, teozófus. A spiritualizmussal 1875-től került kapcsolatba, Helena Blavatsky művei két évvel később kezdte olvasni, Indiába költözése után személyesen is megismerkedett a teozófusok fő elméletírójával. Saját beszámolója szerint indiai tartózkozása alatt számos üzenetet kapott földöntúli mesterektől, melyek leiratát később közzé is tette. Publikáló szerzőként és szónokként gyorsan emelkedett a mozgalom ranglétráján, kiadásunk idején már a Teozófiai Társulat alelnöke volt. Okkult kötetéből a szellemi megvilágosodás valódi titkai leshetőek el, valamint megtudható az is, hogy az emberiség előző inkarnációja nem egyebütt, mint a Mars bolygón volt honos. A munka első kiadása 1896-ban jelent meg. Oldalszámozáson belül néhány ábrával. A címoldalon régi tulajdonosi bélyegzés és dátumbejegyzés.
Poss.: Gyöngyöshalászy Takách Béla. [Gyöngyöshalászy Takách Béla (1874-1947) festő, építész, iparművész. A budapesti József Műegyetemen szerzett diplomája után Alpár Ignác mellett dolgozott Franciaországban, majd tíz évet töltött az Egyesült Államokban, ahol Alfons Mucha tanítványa volt. Kiállításai voltak New York, Boston, Philadelphia és Charleston városaiban. Az 1910-es években tért haza, itthon Széchenyi Bertalan, Dohnányi Ernő, Kozma Jenő villáit tervezte.]
