Jean Bolland (1596-1665) németalföldi jezsuita szerzetes, hagiográfus. Felülvizsgálta a Rosweyde gyűjtötte hagiográfiai anyagot, majd kidolgozta az Acta Sanctorum, tehát a szentekkel foglalkozó forrásanyag kritikai kiadásának programját, illetve metódusát. A gyűjteménynek nem csupán azokat kellett tartalmaznia, akiknek életrajza, szenvedéstörténete fönnmaradt, hanem azokét is, akik csak a mártírológiumban, kalendáriumokban v. liturgiai könyvekben találhatók. A sorrendnek a szentek ünnepeit kellett követnie jan. 1-től kezdődően. Hevenesi Gábor dolgozta át „Régi magyar szentség” címmel 1692-ben. E kötet kiadója Prileszky János nagyszombati rektor volt.
A korabeli kötést felhasználó, bordázott gerincű bőrkötésben, egybekötve, címkével, körben festett lapszélekkel. A végére 77 üres jegyzetlap bekötve. Jó példány. (lásd 315. tételt.)
