Perecsényi Nagy László (1771-1827) Arad vármegyei esküdt, majd szolgabíró volt. Verses és prózai elbeszélő műveivel az őshaza iránt Dugonics által szított érdeklődést élesztette tovább. A műben, „Az ég alatt, a föld szinén / Nincsen olyan árva, mint én” kezdetű, népszerűvé vált dalbetéttel is találkozunk. Szűry 3358.
