Első teljes kiadás.
Bethlen Farkas (1639-1679) Erdély kancellárja, számos korabeli forrásra támaszkodva írta meg hat kötetben Erdély 1525 és 1609 közötti történetét. A címlapon második kiadás szerepel, de ez a teljes mű első kiadása: az első kiadás nyomásához 1684-ben a szerző keresdi kastélyában kezdtek hozzá, de csak a 832. lapig jutottak, és a kinyomtatott példányok zöme 1690-ben, Thököly betörésekor megsemmisült.
A hat kötet egységes fűzött korabeli papírkötésben. Az első kötet gerince sérült (hosszában végigrepedt, javításra szorul), a második kötet lapjai foltosak.
