Princeps Potemkin Tawritscheeskoi. Rézmetszet, 1790 körül.
Mérete: 85×140 mm., 13×19 centis papíron. A bécsi Artaria kiadása. Az osztrák litográfus és metsző (1764-1817) édesapja (Johann Ernst) is kiváló szakember volt. Grigorij Alekszandrovics Patyomkin, Tavricseszkij herceg (1739-91) orosz politikus és hadvezér, az 1762. évi palotaforradalom megszervezője, II. (Nagy) Katalin cárnő kegyence. A parasztság jólétének bizonyítására a cárnő látogatásakor díszletfalvakat építtetett, innen a gúnyos „Potemkin-falu” elnevezés. A posztamens felirata: „Te duce, Irrita perpetua solvent formidine terras.” (cca:Vezetőnk megszabadítja a földet a félelemtől.) Részlet Vergilius IV. eklogájából.
Szép tiszta levonat, jó állapotban.
