Az újonnan megnyílt történelmi képcsarnok számos szép rézmetszettel illusztrálva. A Magyarországra vonatkozó rész a 225. oldaltól olvasható. 14 kötetben teljes, számos kiadást megélt. Címlapverzón közgyűjteményi pecséttel.
Korabeli, aranyozott gerincű félbőr-kötésben, címkével, festett lapszélekkel. Jó példány.
