Ouvrage illustré de 10 héliogravures d’apres Valerio.
Paris, 1883. Plon. 3 sztl. lev. 412 l. 10 t. (hártyapapírral védve), 1 térk. (színes, kétoldalas). 160 szövegközti illusztrációt is tartalmaz.
Théodore Valério (1819 - 1879) francia metszetkészítő és festőművész 1853-1866 között Magyarországot és a Balkánt járva nagy számban készített vázlatokat és rajzokat az itt élő emberekről, népcsoportokról. Metszeteit és rézkarcait Párizsban adta ki. Tissot is ezeket a metszeteket használta fel könyve képanyagához.
Korabeli, gerincén sérült félbőr-kötésben, belül hibátlan, szép, kívül a bőr restaurálandó.
