The so-called Approbats is a statute collection of the Transylvanian Parliament made between 1540 and 1653. The Compilatae constitutions contain acts from the period between 1654 and 1669. The publisher was the famous Hungarian typographer and printer, Miklós Kis of Misztótfalu (Nicholas Kis). His concept was to publish the fundamental works for statecraft and public life. Therefore, he felt the necessity to publish the elemental Transylvanian law. He printed the well-formed text with typography of high standards.
Modern half leather. Some leaves slightly stained, some restored. Along the copy, there are several coloured pencil marks.
