Alfons (also Alphons) was an Austrian painter of the late Impressionist period. Schnegg attended the Innsbruck Trade School, worked at the Tyrolean Glass Painting Institute in Wilten, and from 1914 studied painting at the Academy of Fine Arts in Munich. From 1915 to 1918, Schnegg served on the Southern Front. He settled in Mühlau in 1918. Together with Ernst Nepo, Rudolf Lehnert, Herbert Gurschner, and Sidonius von Schrom, he formed the Mühlau Circle. In 1925, Schnegg co-founded the artists' association "Waage." In 1929, he spent four months in Dalmatia and Bosnia, and in 1930, he visited Italy. Schnegg created, above all, oil paintings, woodcuts, and murals (including the war memorial in Fiss, Tyrol). Further Artists and Terms:

PLEASE NOTE:
The purchase price consists of the highest bid plus the buyer's premium, sales tax and, if applicable, the fee of artists resale rights. In the case of normal taxation (marked ° at the estimate), a premium of 24% is added to the highest bid. The mandatory sales tax is added to the sum of the highest bid and the buyer's premium. This amounts to 13% for paintings, drawings, graphic works and sculptures and 20% for photographs and all other items.
The buyer's premium amounts to 28% in case of differential taxation. The sales tax is included in the differential taxation.
