(Bolzanio, Urbano) Bellunensis, Urbanus: ~ institutionum Linguae Graecae Libri duo. - NO EXPORT

Basileae, 1548. (Ex officina Hieronymi Curionis, impensis Henrichi. Petri.) (2)+811 [recte 809]+(7)p.
With exciting possessor entry on the title page: "Zachar(ius) Mosso(czi)us Prot(onotarius) Ap(osto)licus, Vicar(ius) Nittrien(sis)". According to this, it was owned by Zakariás Mosóczy, apostolic protonotary (chief notary), vicar of Nyitra (bishop's vicar). He probably received or acquired the item between 1560 and 1578. From then on, he was the bishop in Vác and then in Nyitra from 1582. He created one of the most prominent Hungarian libraries of the time. His legacy inventory included 935 works, some of which - like our piece - got to the Jesuit college in Pozsony. After the dissolution of the order in 1772, the collection was partially dispersed.
Wood-boarded, contemporary leather with clasps.
