Geographia particolare d'una gran parte dell' Europa…
Rare, twice 2-sheet map of Southeastern Europe by Giacomo Gastaldi. Published in Venice (1560) as an addition to the cartographer's previous work: the depiction of the River Danube (see lot 179). The engraver, Fabio Licino illustrated his work with trees and a fictional bird's-eye view of the cities showing their size and shape. Dimensions: 500 x 1070 (500 x 1100) mm. The upper and the lower edges of the 4 joint sheets are cropped (the image is slightly affected).
