A képmező alatti 8 soros, német nyelvű szöveg lényege, Windisch-Grätz hadserege magyar földre lépett és a császári erők 16-án elfoglalták Sopront. Mozgalmas csatajelenet, amelyben a császári lovasság összecsap a magyar huszárokkal, s közben a gyalogság rohamot indít.
