Mindhárom kötet címlapján possessor bejegyzés: „P.[atris] Alexandri Tomeján e Sch[olis] Piis Bibl. Tatensis.” Tomeján Sándor a tatai piarista gimnázium igazgatója volt 1772–1773 és 1778–1779 között.
Szoblahói Palma Károly Ferenc (Rózsahegy, 1735. – Pest, 1787.) történetíró, nagyprépost, kalocsai kanonok és címzetes püspök. Történelmi kutatásaiban és írásaiban a katolikus Habsburg-barát szempontokat érvényesítette. Műve Pannonia római provinciával kezdve, a hunok, avarok és a vándorló magyarok történelmét ismerteti, leírja az Árpád-házi királyok és a vegyesházi királyok, majd a Habsburg-ház magyarországi uralmának történetét a saját koráig, 1775-ig, azaz Mária Terézia uralkodásáig.
A három kötet egységes korabeli, bordázott, aranyozott gerincű, kissé kopottas egészbőr-kötésben, pirosra festett lapszélekkel, megkímélt állapotban.
