Kovachich Márton György (1744–1821) jogtörténész, könyvtáros, kutatómunkájával megalapozta a magyar állam- és jogtörténeti forráskutatást. A mű a középkori Magyarország ismeretlen, vagy elfeledett törvényeit gyűjti össze.
Korabeli, aranyozott gerincű félbőr-kötésben, címkékkel. Címlapján poss. bejegyzés. Egyik kötet gerince hosszan berepedt.
