1698 I. Lipót a máramarosszigeti szigeti Tar Márton hajdú és fiai: Márton és Zsigmond részére - II. Apafi Mihály erdélyi fejedelem ajánlására - magyar nemességet és címert adományoz. Helyenként foltos pergamen, latinul, az első sorok díszes, részben aranyozott betűkkel, az oklevél elején festett címerképpel (az oklevél leírja a címert). Lipót aláírásával, arany-kék-piros-fehér sodrat, fa tokos függőpecséttel melyben a viasz címer kissé sérült. + cca 1914 A szigeti Tar család leszármazása az adományostól egészen a 20. század elejéig. Az egész egy Tar Gáspár (1791-1857) Máramaros megyei főszámvevő és levéltáros által készített és jelzett 'Készítette 1836 augusztus 12. napján Tar Gáspár' vas oklevél tartóban. 1698 Leopold I Holy Roman Emperor and King of Hungary grants Hungarian nobility and a coat-of-arms to the Hajduk Márton Tar de Sziget of Máramarossziget (now Sighetu Marmaţiei, RO) and his sons: Márton and Zsigmond, upon the request of Michael II Apafi, Prince of Transylvania. Parchment with stains, the first few lines written with ornamented letters (partly gilded). In Latin with a description of the coat-of-arms and a painted coat-of-arms on the left side of the charter. With the signature of Leopold I and a gold-blue-red-white ply, and a seal on a gold-blue-red-white ply. + cca 1914 The genealogy of the Tar de Sziget family from the beneficiary mentioned in the charter of Leopold I until the early 20th century.
