A debreceni református főgimnázium segédtanára (1918–1919), a Tanácsköztársaság alatt menekülnie kellett Debrecenből (1919), Miskolcon telepedett le, a miskolci református gimnázium vallástanára (1919–1957) lett. A debreceni Közlöny (1919) szerkesztője, a Magyar Jövő (1920-tól) és a Magyar Zeneszó című lapok munkatársa.]
