Plasztikus ábrázolás a mitológiai lényről, szörnyetegről, amit az emberi képzelet és fantázia dühtől torzított, széles szájjal, s tágra meredt szemmel, kígyók, sárkányok és gnómok közös szüleményeként jelenített meg a korban.
