Szerelmes, romantikus történet a moszkvai építész M. Wladimir és egy „Wachspuppe” között. (Sajnos az építész (M.) személyét nem sikerült feloldani. Keresztnevét a kötetben többször is olvashatjuk.
A szerző „Botaniker X” = Csajanov, Alekszandr Vasziljevics orosz agrárközgazdász (Moszkva, 1888. – Alma-Ata, 1939.). A Timirjazeva Mezőgazdasági Akadémia professzora és a moszkvai Agrárgazdasági Intézet igazgatója, az orosz paraszti gazdaság szerveződési és termelési iskolájának kiemelkedő képviselője. 1939-ben kivégezték.
